Leila Arizmendi was born and raised in Oakland California and currently attends Bishop O’Dowd High School as a senior. Previously, Leila attended Escuela Bilingüe Internacional, a K-8 bilingual school in Emeryville where she practiced spanish and became more in touch with her Mexican and Spanish Heritage. Leila has a passion for telling stories and plans to go to college for journalism or communications to further her knowledge on how to tell stories that need to be told and give voices to the voiceless. She loves being outdoors, performing in things, such as theater, and spending time with her friends.
